I.
Grief sits stoically,
solidly in the stomach
then it reaches up.

II.
Grief finds your heart next –
it knocks inside its chambers
echoing outward.

Grief clenches your throat
removing air from your lungs
it continues up.

IV.
Grief reaches your face
escapes from your mouth and eyes,
leaving burning rain.
